When doing a shoot of this nature, it takes a lot of gear and time to prepare. If you’re a photographer and this is your first rodeo, make sure to have these items on your packing list: tether shoot cable (for a laptop), measuring tape, level, color passport, trigger for lights (back up sync cable, too), gobo’s, a variety of light modifiers and a good attitude (this is my photo assistant having a bit of fun). Art shoots will take longer than you anticipate so over allocate for time. The images above are the work of W Michael Bush, and are from his “Mirror on America” series. The larger set has over thirty works. If you have the opportunity to see it exhibited near you, please do!
