This purpose of this series is to show that officers are so much more than a shield, to show how the job bleeds into their lives with training and some of the passions in life. There are so many “______ lives matter” protests and hash tags and I feel it’s important to highlight that officers are people beyond their job. I want people to see them as people and re-humanize our perspectives of them.
